Archdiocese of Philadelphia Clergy Abuse Resources and Records

This page collects public records and reporting resources related to clergy sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It links to official disclosure and support information without repeating names or allegations. A listing, allegation, investigation, or lawsuit is not itself proof of a crime or civil liability.

Archdiocesan disclosure and reporting

The Archdiocese’s Status of Clergy page describes its current categories and status determinations. The Office of Investigations provides its policies and contact information. These are the Archdiocese’s administrative classifications; they do not by themselves establish a criminal conviction or court judgment.

For immediate danger, call 911. To report suspected child abuse in Pennsylvania, contact ChildLine at 1-800-932-0313, available 24 hours a day. The Archdiocese lists its Office of Investigations at 1-888-930-9010 and its Victim Assistance Program at 1-888-800-8780. See its instructions for making a complaint for current reporting options. Reports involving bishops can also be made through ReportBishopAbuse.org (1-800-276-1562); that channel does not replace child-protection or law-enforcement reporting.

Philadelphia public records

Publicly available copies of the Philadelphia grand-jury reports are hosted by an archival organization: the 2005 report and the 2011 report. These are investigative grand-jury reports, not verdicts or judgments against every person or institution discussed. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s 2018 statewide grand-jury report states that its investigation excluded Philadelphia because earlier Philadelphia grand juries had addressed the Archdiocese; the Archdiocese also addressed that scope.

For case-level records, search the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System docket portal and review the underlying docket for case status and disposition. Charges and civil complaints are allegations unless established through the applicable court process.
