Diocese of Harrisburg Clergy Abuse Resources and Records
This page brings together official Diocese of Harrisburg disclosure, reporting, survivor-support, and child-protection resources, along with public Pennsylvania records. It links to original sources and does not repeat names or allegations from disclosure materials. This information is general and is not legal advice.
Diocesan disclosure and youth protection
The Diocese’s Youth Protection site links to its clergy and seminarian disclosure list, a supplemental list, and a list of non-clergy. The Diocese’s posted clergy list describes accusations and states that it does not assess credibility or guilt. It is a historical document; visit the official site for current materials and read each source’s scope and caveats.

Reporting abuse and getting support
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. Pennsylvania’s ChildLine accepts child-abuse reports at 1-800-932-0313, 24 hours a day. The Diocese asks people to contact ChildLine first and also lists its reporting hotline at 1-800-626-1608 and ReportAbuse@hbgdiocese.org. Confirm contact details on the official pages.
The Diocese identifies Michelle Shae as Victim Assistance Coordinator at 717-657-4804, extension 234, and mshae@hbgdiocese.org. Its Survivor Assistance page describes available assistance. For reports about a bishop, the Diocese directs people to the Catholic Bishop Abuse Reporting Service; it distinguishes these from reports involving local clergy, employees, or volunteers.
Public records and legal research
The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s statewide grand-jury report includes a Harrisburg section and the Diocese’s response. It is an investigative report, not a court determination of every allegation or a finding of liability against every person or institution. For available Pennsylvania court dockets, use the Unified Judicial System Case Search and review the underlying record; allegations, charges, and court findings are different things.
