Roblox-Related Sextortion and Threats: Family Response and Civil Review
Threats involving a child’s private information or intimate images require a safety-focused response. Do not treat a demand from an online account as a negotiation to handle alone. Seek help from law enforcement and qualified child-support professionals; a legal consultation is a separate process.
Record the Demand Without Spreading Harmful Material
If safely available, note the sender’s username, the service used, the approximate time, and the nature of a demand in non-explicit language. Keep ordinary report confirmations. Do not download or forward sexual images of a minor, including when someone claims they are needed to prove a threat.
Support the Child Without Blame
A child may feel frightened or ashamed. Reassure them that someone else’s coercion is not their fault. Do not insist on repeated retellings or publicly post the incident. Ask trained professionals how to protect the child and respond to continuing threats.
Separate Criminal Reporting From Civil Claims
Law enforcement determines investigative steps; civil counsel reviews potential claims against persons or entities under applicable law. One report does not automatically create a civil case, and a civil inquiry does not replace reporting or preserve a filing deadline. Counsel needs to understand how the account contact, alleged threats, and claimed harm connect.
Safety and Records Come First
If a child faces immediate danger, call 911. Stop harmful contact; do not keep a child exposed to collect proof. Record ordinary identifiers, approximate dates, report numbers, and the names of services involved. Do not investigate or confront a suspected offender, access accounts without permission, or ask a child repeated or leading questions.
Do not download, copy, forward, upload, or email sexual images or videos involving a minor. Do not attach them to a law-firm inquiry. If such material exists, seek safe handling instructions from law enforcement. NCMEC’s CyberTipline information explains reporting suspected online child sexual exploitation. Reporting and legal consultation are separate steps.

Request a Private Case Review
Call 412.387.6901 or request a consultation. Use the inquiry form only for basic contact information and a general request for a Roblox case review. Do not send passwords, medical records, explicit material, or unnecessary identifying details about a child. Ask the firm about secure delivery of appropriate records. An inquiry does not create representation, file a lawsuit, or stop a deadline. Acceptance requires conflicts and attorney review and an agreement with the firm.
